Buying a straightener is not a 'Straight' forward process.....
With so many on the market to choose from including the popular 3 letter versions, what should you be looking for?
First, you need to know the following:
1. Hair length - Your hair length dictates what size plates you should be looking at. If you have long hair then you need to aim for wide plates which will ensure you get your desired result in the shortest possible time. If you have short hair then narrow plates should be chosen to ensure you can get the hair between the plates with ease. Narrow plate irons can be used on long hair and are perfectly suited to create curls. Glampalm plate sizes are 24mm / 32mm / 40mm.
2. Heat temperature settings and 'heat up' time - Too cool and you will struggle to get the result you desire in the time you desire / Too hot and you will cause damage to your hair. All Glampalm irons come with 11 heat settings and a 30 min automatic shut off safety feature.
3. Cord length - All Glampalm irons come with a 3 meter cord length which ensures you will be able to style your hair with ease. An additional great feature of the Glampalm irons is that the cord is on a 3D 'Swivel Ball' which allows ease of use and importantly reduces cord wear.
4.Light Weight and Ergonomic - Glampalm irons are fitted with a sweat-absorbing grip and are styled to reduced wrist fatique.
5. Healing Stone and ION Technology - Patented to Glampalm is the special 'healing stone' ceramic plates. This technology has been proven through testing to leave the hair virtually damage free and looking glossier.

Best straightener I have ever owned!
I have had the worst luck with GHD's - I think I have been through 3 and they have all just gone to crap.
Almost impossible to find a bad review of the GlamPalm series so definitely go for it!
When I went to buy a new one I read that GHD weren't what they use to be. I considered a cloud 9, but read that they had lots of problems with faults so that turned me off. I tried many in hairdressers and finally decided on a glampalm. I have had it for three months now and love it. As soon as I used it my hair felt softer and looked more shiny but I wanted to give it longer
